CONSTRUCTS

“Constructs” transport the viewer through technology into a world of organic shapes designed to trigger an emotional connection with the pieces. Composite materials, such as carbon fiber, allow the freedom to realize the desired sculptural forms without compromising structural integrity and functionality.

DYNAMICS

The dynamic of movement, as the name implies, is the base around which various elements are brought together in these compositions. The natural qualities of the hardwood boards are preserved with minimal interference while the understructure is a purposeful fabrication. The overall forms are intended to express some of the defining human qualities.

INTERACTIVES

In “Interactives” each of the pieces requires a certain degree of interaction that is meant to enhance a  viewer’s experience with the object. The unique qualities of the hardwood boards become part of the narrative, such as the iridescent grain structure of the Bubinga board of “Papillon” emulating the wing of a butterfly. The theme is to draw attention to nature and our relationship with it.

LOOK IN, LOOK OUT

“Look in, Look out” is an illustration of artistic expressions meant to provoke introspection. The objects in this collection are sculptural and imaginative yet functional.
